Not every strong Commerce student needs an Honours degree. DU’s BA Programme lets you combine two disciplines, and several Economics- and Commerce-linked combinations are excellent alternatives — sometimes at colleges whose Honours cut-offs are out of reach. Scores below are UR minimum allocation scores from CSAS 2026 Round 1.

Top BA Programme combinations for Commerce students

Economics-linked combinations dominate the top of the list, with a few reaching into the 900s at the leading colleges.

Why these combinations matter

  • Economics + Mathematics — a strong analytical base, close to Economics (Hons.) in spirit.
  • Commerce + Economics — keeps a commerce footing while adding economic theory.
  • Computer Applications + Economics — pairs economics with applied, tech-facing skills.
  • Economics + Political Science — a solid route toward policy, law and civil services.

Who should consider BA Programme?

BA Programme suits students who want a good DU college and a flexible, two-subject degree rather than a single Honours specialisation — and students whose target score sits just below the Honours cut-offs at the colleges they want. Many combinations lead to the same postgraduate and professional paths as the Honours degrees.

A minimum allocation score is not a guaranteed admission score or a pre-declared cut-off. It is the lowest score allocated a seat in that round, and depends on eligibility, seat availability, category, tie-breaking and later rounds. Treat these as indicative planning benchmarks, not admission advice.
