1. Scope and Role of this Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how PRePS AI Private Limited (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use ChampionsPrep through our website, mobile applications, assessments, customer support channels, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

This may include name, email address, mobile number, class or academic details, parent or guardian details where relevant, support communications, and any information you submit through forms, quizzes, or account settings.

2.2 Learning and usage data

This may include enrolled courses, lesson progress, test attempts, performance metrics, completion history, preferences, bookmarks, and interactions with videos, notes, or practice modules.

2.3 Device and technical data

This may include IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device identifiers, operating system, browser or app version, logs, crash information, cookies, SDK identifiers, and security event data.

2.4 Payment and transaction data

For direct website transactions, payment processing may be handled by Razorpay or other payment processors acting on our behalf. We generally receive payment confirmations, masked payment details, order identifiers, and transaction metadata. We do not store full card numbers, CVV, PINs, or OTPs. Payment processing by Razorpay is PCI‑DSS compliant. For Google Play and Apple App Store purchases, the relevant platform processes the payment and may provide us with limited transaction, subscription, and receipt data needed to validate access and support purchases.

3. How We Use Information

  • Create and manage accounts and authenticate users.
  • Deliver educational content, assessments, recommendations, and progress tracking.
  • Process orders, subscriptions, invoicing, refunds, and purchase support.
  • Improve the Services, diagnose technical issues, prevent misuse, and secure accounts.
  • Communicate service messages, updates, reminders, and support responses.
  • Comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect minors and the platform.

4. Legal Basis and Consent

Where consent is required by applicable law, we will rely on consent for specific processing activities such as certain marketing communications, cookies, or AI data transmission. In other cases, we process information as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, protect the safety of users, or pursue legitimate business interests in a proportionate manner.

5. Children and Minors

Because the Services may be used by students, we take additional care in relation to minors. Where required, a parent or guardian must provide consent before a minor creates or uses an account. Parents or guardians may contact us to review, correct, manage, or request deletion of a minor’s account information, subject to legal and safety obligations. We aim to minimise the data collected from minors to what is reasonably necessary for delivering the educational service and securing the platform.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with hosting, analytics, communications, authentication, and customer-support vendors operating under contractual safeguards; payment processors (e.g., Razorpay); platform operators (Google, Apple) for app-store transactions; professional advisers, auditors, law enforcement, or regulators where required by law; and a successor entity in the event of a merger or acquisition.

7. Cookies, SDKs, and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and app SDKs for session management, analytics, personalisation, fraud prevention, and service improvement. Where legally required, we will provide relevant consent or choice mechanisms.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain academic records, process transactions, resolve disputes, comply with tax and legal requirements, and enforce our agreements. Financial and transaction records may be retained as required by law.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures may include encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, environment segregation, audit logging, and vendor diligence. No system is completely secure.

10. International Transfers

Our service providers or infrastructure may process information in jurisdictions outside India. Where such transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate contractual safeguards consistent with applicable law.

11. Your Rights and Choices

You may access, correct, or update account information through the app, website, or by contacting support. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to lawful retention obligations. You can opt out of promotional communications or control cookies via browser or in‑app settings.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or integrate third‑party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices and terms. We encourage users to review the privacy policies of Razorpay, Google, Apple, and any AI provider listed in Section 6 before using those services.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the website, app, or email.
